Davos 2023 Recap

This year, Dropp headed to Davos, Switzerland for the annual World Economic Forum to connect with global leaders in web3, a greener economy, and a brighter future in technology. Read below for a recap of some of our favorite moments.

We started off Davos week with Brett McDowell and the Hedera Council at Hedera Haus discussing innovation by way of micropayments for internet transactions.

On Tuesday, we headed to Tata’s opening reception event and enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres prepared by Taj Hotel Michelin-star chef Sriram Aylur.

On Wednesday, we learned about innovative paths for cross-border business models during “Empowering Cross-Border Business” with Circle, AZA Finance, and CNBC.

Later on, we joined Avery Dennison after their presentation about the emerging era of connected products and their cloud-based Atma.io, built on the eco-friendly Hedera Hashgraph. Atma.io is focused on creating better solutions making retail more efficient and less wasteful. We learned about how micropayments fold into the picture and increase access for a wider community.

Towards the end of the week, we celebrated with the Indonesia House and friends.

Indonesia House put on a fabulous evening event to close out a long week.
We ended our time in Davos with Hedera, the HBAR Foundation, and our other Hashgraph friends before returning to New York. We’re already looking forward to coming back again in 2024 with more progress in the payments space for a greener future. Until next year…
